On 20 May 2026, within the framework of Grant Agreement No.2 “Priority Projects to Support Restoration of Safety, Security and Infrastructure at Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant”, ChNPP received two Iveco vehicles.

The Grant Agreement was signed in October 2024 between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, acting as the administrator of the funds, and the SSE Chornobyl NPP. The grant financing was provided by the International Chernobyl Cooperation Account.

The Grant Agreement is aimed, among other things, at restoring the transport infrastructure and strengthening the overall operational capacity of the Chornobyl NPP, which is particularly important given the substantial losses of vehicles and equipment the enterprise sustained as a result of the Russian invasion and occupation of the site.

Earlier, under the same Grant Agreement, ChNPP had already received specialised vehicles, spare parts, and consumables required to ensure the reliable operation of the systems of the New Safe Confinement.
