The Chornobyl NPP has handed over a new batch of children’s books in English to the Slavutych City Department of Education, which the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) donated to Ukrainian children as part of its humanitarian aid programme.

This is now the third set of English-language books that the IAEA has donated to Ukrainian children. The new consignment includes books for readers of all ages, which will help young people in Slavutych to develop their English reading skills.

As with previous consignments, the new books will be distributed amongst 11 educational establishments in Slavutych – schools and kindergartens. Children will be able to access the books free of charge during lessons and for reading outside class, as well as borrow them from their schools’ libraries to take home.

The Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant expresses its gratitude to the IAEA for its support of Ukrainian children and educational institutions in Slavutych.
