In 2024, the office premises of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant were colourful due to the embroidery patterns on emploees` shirts, blouses and dresses. Stylised shirts, replica shirts, modern shirts and dresses are all evidence that Ukrainian vyshyvanka is a vital phenomenon and popular nationally oriented clothing.
The first time Chornobyl NPP celebrated the Vyshyvanka Day was in 2017 thanks to Oleksandr Novikov's initiative. That time 15 employees came to work in embroidered clothes. The following year, in 2018, more than 60 employees wore embroidered clothes.
У For the first time, students of the Chernivtsi National University officially honoured Ukrainian national clothes in 2006. Teachers immediately joined the flash mob. A year later, the initiative was taken up by other educational establishments in Chernivtsi. In 2010 the holiday spread to other cities and towns of Ukraine and since 2014 it became truly international. Ukrainians who live in Canada, the United States, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, Romania and Russia wear their vyshyvankas on the third Thursday of May. Although the holiday is not official but it has become international.


From 17 to 19 April 2024, the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU) conducted an inspection survey of the State Specialised Enterprise Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
This week, the Clean Future Found (CFF) team realized its mission of assistance in Ukraine again. The main purpose of the visit was to assess the dog population and provide the necessary medical care to the animals.
The International Atomic Energy Agency has carried out the 25th rotation of its permanent monitoring mission at the Chornobyl NPP.
