
In the past 24 hours, numerous fires have continued within the Exclusion Zone, resulting in the fire approaching the Chornobyl NPP’s facilities. In fact, the points of fire outbreak were situated near villages Novyi Myr, Stara Rudnia, Klyvyny and Chystogalivka where burning of grass, reeds and forest litter was observed.
In the area of Chystogalivka village, due to a rush of wind, the fire spread through a fire barrier line and an automobile road and, by passing the area that used to be called "Red Forest", reached the Yaniv railway station, located 2.2 kilometres from the Chornobyl NPP.


In pursuance of Presidential Decree No.87/2020 regarding prevention of the COVID-19 coronavirus distribution, ChNPP administration made a decision to transfer the Plant’s personnel to special regime of employment starting from March 19.
We would like to inform you that Chornobyl NPP restricts familiarization visits for all countries citizens to Plant’s territory until at least April 3, 2020.
On February 18, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine Roman Abramovskyi officially visited Chornobyl NPP and introduced the Acting Chairman of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management Kateryna Pavlova.
The objective of the open international contest for the best creative idea/image-building project is to cultivate a positive image and to enhance the public image perfection of the State Specialized Enterprise Chornobyl NPP at the national and international levels; to involve the public and public organizations in resolving the issues associated with public image perfection of ChNPP as a key enterprise of Exclusion Zone; to support non-governmental initiatives intended for enhancement of ChNPP public image.
