On 19 June 2025, a delegation from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (DSA) visited the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The visit was aimed at monitoring of projects implemented by the DSA in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. The guests discussed the results of cooperation between Norway and Ukraine in overcoming the Chornobyl accident consequences.
During the visit, the delegation visited the New Safe Confinement (NSC), familiarized with its condition and functioning, as well as with the damage caused by the russian UAV hit on 14 February 2025.

As a part of the International Technical Assistance provided by the IAEA, the Chornobyl NPP has received a measuring equipment that is necessary for radioactive waste (RAW) and radioactive materials (RM) management.
According to Oleksii Miasnykov, Head of the Integrated Radioactive Material Management Department, the α-β radiometer and spectrum photometer provided by the IAEA allow wider opportunities for measuring and characterizing RAW and RM:
